Nefussy Solitreo
Nefussy Solitreo is the primary Solitreo font of LadinoType. It is named after J. Nefussy, a Salonican Holocaust victim whose actual handwriting was used to create the font. This handwriting was chosen as the basis for the font because Brian learned to read and write Solitreo from J. Nefussy's corresondence and felt that the penmanship provided a good representative sample of Solitreo. J. Nefussy's documents were provided courtesy of Professor Devin Naar and family. For more information about Meruba, see What Is Solitreo?
Solitreo Project
The Solitreo Project is a Solitreo Project computer font created by Documenting Judeo-Spanish. The project, led by Dr. Bryan Kirschen and Nathan Gross is the first fully functional native computer font in Solitreo. Because it is native text, it can, unlike the other current fonts available on LadinoType, be copied and pasted into other computer applications provided the font is installed. For more information, see their font page and their launch video.
Berman Rashi
Berman Rashi is the standard Rashi font of LadinoType. It was custom created for LadinoType based on existing Rashi fonts but modified to accomodate Ladino orthography. For more information about Rashi, see What Is Rashi?
LadinoType Meruba
LadinoType Meruba was built off existing modern Hebrew Meruba (block) fonts but modified to accomodate Ladino orthography. For more information about Meruba, see What Is Meruba?
